But it also focuses on things we need to BRING IN to nourish ourselves….

Remember Body, Mind and Spirit are a package deal.….
We need to nourish our: physical body as well as our creativity, emotions, relationships, digestive capacity, heart connections, truth, intuition and of course our life force/spirit/vitality.

Class will meet 3 Mondays, November 6, 13 & 20th from 7 – 8:30pm at
MOVE! Fitness Studio – 133 Argall Way, Nevada City

The official detox begins on Tuesday,  November 7 after our first group meeting
and you’ll be READY to GO!
Each day of the 14 day detox you will receive an email with additional tips
and recipes and also an opportunity to ask me questions about the detox.

2 Detox supplements will be offered (optionally) with this detox to help remove toxins from your body effectively.

You’ll begin the detox at the phase that’s right for you – (Take the  detox quiz Below).  I’ll help retrain your taste buds and give you many whole body strategies to help you fight any symptoms that pop up while making the transition.

NUTRITION: I will supply a notebook with foods allowed & not allowed,  sample daily menu, recipes, snacks, & 2 group lectures on nutritional detox. You’ll learn how to prepare for a 10 day detox and why it’s actually one of the most important parts of the whole experience.

If you fail to plan- then plan to fail!

HOME SELF CARE ACTIVITIES are also an important part of the detox.  You can choose between many holistic suggestions to enhance your experience from cleaning out your closets to doing a dry brush massage before showers. Two things that are not optional:

  • 30 minutes of exercise daily!
  • At least 10 – 15 minutes of relaxation or downtime daily to reflect and listen to your body.

The point here is to create more circulation in a relaxed environment to move toxins out!   And not just physical toxins –  I’m talking about toxic emotions, thoughts, relationships and closet congestion too!

COMMUNITY SUPPORT: Being healthy is contagious and every “body” needs a “buddy.” We’ll hold each other accountable to make the experience easier, more fun and reach our detox goals.

We want you to experience a “whole self” deep reset of your body, mind, and emotions.

“I was surprised how impactful sharing with fellow detoxers was for me.  I was so interested on absorbing the detox information that I didn’t think about what others were experiencing and that ended up being so valuable and opened my heart too.” Kristi Teague

A good detox begins with preparation and that’s why we’re meeting on Monday, November 6,  7 – 8:30pm  to understand how to begin a detox. Our second and third meetings will be the following Mondays, November 13 and 20th, from 7 – 8:30pm

I suggest taking this quiz to determine which phase to begin: phase I, II or III.

  1. Are you new to a 10 day detox?
    a.  Yes
    b.  No, I’ve done one before
    c.  No, I do a detox each year and sometimes even twice a year.
  2. I currently eat:
Bread, pasta, and other foods made from whole grains (wheat, teff, spelt, kamut, rye).
    b.  Bread pasta and other foods made from gluten-free grain flours.
    c.  Very few gluten free grains and basically a primal or Paleo diet.
  3. I currently eat:
    Fat-free dairy products
    b.  Low –fat dairy products
    c.  Full fat dairy products or no dairy
  4. I feel my sugar, carbohydrate, caffeine and alcohol cravings are:
So strong that I’m admittedly fearful of how this detox will go for me
    b.  Pretty darn strong – and that’s why I’m reading this!
    c.  Not terrible, but certainly not under control the way I think they should be.

Determines which phase is right for you.

  • If you answered mostly “a” then select phase I (gluten free grains and full fat dairy are allowed)
  • If you answered mostly “b” then select phase II (limited grains – but full fat dairy is allowed)
  • If you answered mostly “c” then select phase III (Limited grains & NO dairy, alcohol or coffee allowed)

COST: $195 with supplements or $149 without supplements
(includes 2 detox supplements – Thorne Bacillus Coagulans, a probiotic & Thorne S.A.T.
a combination of Silymarin (milk thistle), Artichoke, and Turmeric.
Studies show these three important botanicals have strong liver-protective properties.

From past happy detoxers:

“The biggest thing I learned from Katie Carter is now I think before I eat.”
Corbett Riley

“I wanted to share with you something that happened this morning.
I was happily, busy in the kitchen fixing our healthy breakfast.  My husband was there and on his computer working.  All of a sudden he just stops and looks at me with tears in his eyes and says “I would pay Katie Carter 5 times what you paid. You’re back. I have my wife back.  Look at you so full of energy and happiness.”
Thank you, Margo Lambert

“I am so grateful that I did the detox, I learned so much.  I dumped some bad habits and started many new good habits.
I was a little overwhelmed at first (what exactly should I eat and all the chopping and cooking) but it became much easier after a couple of days.  I stayed super inspired the whole time thanks to all the emails, the meetings and by how good I felt.
I’m still eating pretty much the same with just a few foods that wouldn’t have been on the detox.   I’m sure I won’t stay this good forever but I’m gonna do my best.  I accidentally ate something with gluten in it that I didn’t think would matter, but my stomach hurt in the morning.  Maybe just a coincidence?”
